Orville Lindquist was a piano professor at Oberlin Conservatory from 1901 to 1939. Contained in this book is a series of exercises and studies designed to help pianists recognize and execute passages that relate to the whole-tone scale. In the forward, Lindquist remarks that these exercises are also useful for developing general finger dexterity, as well as relieving the monotony of general scale study. This book is a fantastic addition to the library of any pianist who wishes to develop their skills.
